Date and Time:

Presenters Info:
David Rowlee, Ph.D., Vice President, Research & Development
Susan Knight, Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Client Services

Duration:
1 hour

Description:
During this webcast, we will explore how to achieve a high performing nursing staff and discuss the workplace factors needed to sustain it. We will share research showing that nurses working in both average and high performing healthcare environments share statistically similar opinions toward their co-workers and supervisors. However, these studies show that in high performing environments employees' feelings about the organization and senior leadership has a much greater influence on their commitment level. Therefore, it is important that nursing leadership create a strong sense of connectedness between the nursing staff and the organization. In addition, creating positive relationships between nursing leadership and the general nursing staff is critical to achieving and sustaining a committed nursing workforce and a high performing environment.

Please join us for a live, interactive Webcast at 1pm (EST) on June 7th where following this presentation, you will be able to:

  1. Understand the key workplace factors that must be measured and improved to prepare for a successful Magnet nursing journey.
  2. Understand how employee attitudes in Magnet-designated nursing facilities differ from those in non-magnet environments.
  3. Understand the key workplace factors that must be sustained and improved upon to preserve and renew Magnet designation.
